Should i get pink or black nail polish?

hi.

if your a teen or close: wear black cos it goes with like everything!

if your older: maybe red or pink well it realy gose with what ur wearing.Should i get pink or black nail polish?
both.

funky colors. esp hot pink and blak.Should i get pink or black nail polish?
either works. it depends on the look you're going for. pink if you're feeling a tad on the girly side. black if you want to be a little more rebelious. or both if you want a scene punk look.
Both! I usually alternate pink and black on my toes, and do all black on my fingers.
Pink for me. If you are a teen you can wear black, it is quite dramatic, but it is not a good look for an older mum like me. I don't think my daughter would approve at all.
pink
both! i think it would be cute to do a kind of french manicure with pink nails and black tips :)

Really dark pink nails for Guy- Is this natural or problem?

you got allot of deoxygenated blood, do you smoke???

if yes cut it down.check if it gets better, people who have problem with heart shunts can have it, and those who have low levels of hemoglobin in blood, but if you have asian background then it might be ok if you are dark ,but as long as its not bluish!Really dark pink nails for Guy- Is this natural or problem?

What exactly are pink/white nails and how are they different from acrylic? What are pink fills and back fills

How long do they last? Do I have to redo a whole set or just get fills? How bad is it for your nails? What exactly are pink/white nails and how are they different from acrylic? What are pink fills and back fills
Pink %26amp; White refers to the colors used in a nail enhancement. When you get a set of Pink %26amp; Whites, it is normally done in acrylic. It can be done, and is commonly done with UV gel as well. But, most often when people refer to P%26amp;W's, they mean acrylic nails. So, there is no difference. It is still acrylic. Acrylic comes in many, many different colors. Pink %26amp; White full sets refer to the pink being at the base of the nail, and the white being the tip - or the extension of the nail. This can be done the easy way by using white plastic tips glued to your natural nails and then the tech will apply clear acrylic over that to provide strength to the nail extension. Or, they can literally 'sculpt' the white on - which I much prefer. Sculpting is an advanced technique where the tech applies forms over your fingertips, and uses the form to sculpt the entire extension. No plastic tips are used in this method. I feel it gives a much more realistic looking final result, and is more durable and more realistic looking than using tips. It takes more skill as well to sculpt nails, and to do a good job with it. You will usually see unskilled techs using white tips because they aren't skilled enough to sculpt, or just don't want to take the time to do the job right, IMO. To me, using tips is taking the easy way out, LOL!

A fill is when the tech fills in the area that has grown out and away from the cuticle area leaving a space between the acrylic and the natural nail that is visible. This space is filled during a, um, fill...A backfill is typically done every other fill. This is done on P%26amp;W nails. See, as your natural nails grow out, so does the nail enhancement - obviously. And, with enough growth, the 'white' extension moves outward and begins to look out of place. The tech essentially corrects that by filing off most of the white along with some of the pink, and then reapplys the white while at the same time - moving the 'white' back to it's original position on the nail. This makes the nail look more in balance once again. Think about it. The white grown out to way past where your natural free edge is supposed to be looks awfully funny after a while. So, that has to be repositioned, and moved back to where it should be. A backfill is also referred to as a rebalance.

No, you won't have to get new sets applied very often at all. Maybe once or twice a year. If the tech wants to apply a new set each time you go to have your nails done, you are definitely going to an unskilled tech. This is because doing a fill is a bit difficult to do. But doing a rebalance is even more difficult to do, and more time consuming too. So, many of the techs who work at these discount salons you see everywhere would rather take off your nails, and apply new ones instead of doing it the right way - which is to give you either a fill or a rebalance, depending on which is needed. Most simply lack the skills necessary to do either. It happens all the time in these types of salons. Don't fall for it. They make more money off of full sets than they do with fills, or backfills. What exactly are pink/white nails and how are they different from acrylic? What are pink fills and back fills
the difference pink and white is permanent french and acrylic is usually with clear or natural tip and pink and white use can use glitter in the pink and white powder .. the same time frame as acrylic does . they take longer to do . you can get a fill of both pink and white powder if the tip its thick enough . to me its just as bad for your nails as acrylics are
Pink/White are permanent french, you get fill in over other month just as acrylics. With the Pink and White they use a gel instead of acrylic, there suppose to get damage less easily. They are more expensive then acrylic, and from my experience wasn't worth it, they look too fake I like having acrylic.
A simple answer instead of a novel. Pink %26amp; White nails are artificial enhancements that can be done with gel or acrylic. Depending on where you are going will depend on how long they last. My clients get fills every three weeks. The amount of damage done to the nail also depends on the nail tech. Going to a budget nail salon is not good. Remember, you get what you pay for!

Little boys with pink nail polish....?

My 4 year old nephew likes to wear pink nail polish.

I'm not a fan of his new phase (I think a nice mauve would look better-lol jk) but I'm also not chasing after him with nail polish remover.

My brother, on the other hand, is freaking.

Guys, would you be a train wreck if you came home to find your young son in pink nail polish? What would you do to change his behavior, if anything?

Gals, would you gladly be putting on pink nail polish on your young son if he asked for it? Why or why not?Little boys with pink nail polish....?
he's a kid. kids go through a ton of different phases.

if he starts wearing thongs and tucks his weener between his thighs, then i'll start getting a lil worried.Little boys with pink nail polish....?
I wouldn't want my son playing with nail polish at that age due to the fact, if ingested, it can poisonous.

As for him wearing it, i really don't think a child at the age of four would be able to comprehend the social behavior associated with the male gender using such feminine products.

If i was to catch my son playing with some pink polish, i would just simply take it from him, and put it some place out off his reach, and hidden from his view.
I'd not put nail polish on anyone, but that's cause little kids make a mess with it. But it's not anything to make a fuss about.

The Victorians actually thought that pink was tones down red, and as such, suitable for little boys. ^.^ Really, colors are only societal constructs. It's not any different than him liking another color, and nail polish isn't considered girly for any real reason either.

Just make sure that he has adult supervision when putting on nail polish and using nail polish remover. ^.^
The worst thing to do, imo, is make a big deal out of a little pink nail polish. Pink is a pretty color, and it's cool to have your nails painted. A four year old doesn't understand gender roles and taboos, he just know what he likes and what makes him happy. If the parents leave him alone, he'll grow out of liking to have his nails painted (or at least move on to a gross color like booger green). There's no reason to make a four year old of either gender feel bad about liking a color (of all things), and it's normal for kids this age to play dress-up.
I am a single mother with one son and one daughter. I have never allowed my son to wear anything feminine because I want him to be a real man. My son never asked me to put nail polish on him.

My aunt who I will call Lordes. Lordes allowed her son Jose to dress up in womens clothing and put nail polish and make-up on when he was 4 to 8 for playing dress-up. So time went by and Jose grew up. When we hung out in high school he always hung out with the chicks. When we were checking out guys butts he was too. Now, I am sure he was born a girl in a boys body because wearing nail polish does not change a person to become gay. Jose dresses in formal clothes most of the time. He also lives with another dude,

Jose is a good person he works hard. I love him.
I have three brothers (and four sisters) and the youngest boy in our family was, and still is very feminine. When we were little he would often put on dresses, wear nail polish and was generally very sensitive which me and my other two brothers associated with being ';girly'; qualities.

So, we kicked his a*s a lot and gave him sh*t for it growing up. Interestingly, we would not permit anyone else to belittle or ridicule him.

Now that we are all grown men, it does not bother us that he is indeed gay, in fact, we very rarely even acknowledge his sexuality because it is not important to us. Furthermore, now that I am a grown man (with a young nephew of my own) if he displayed such behavior I would ask him why he is interested in such things, but I love him and support his decisions as long as they are healthy ones.

Life is a learning curve, and too short to pretend.
It would not bother me, I think all children are curious and it is okay to let them seek out the knowledge involved...even with nail polish. Plus I think there are much bigger fish to fry when it comes to raising children. Quite frankly I really would not care if my son was gay (which seems to be the bigger issue here), he would still be my son.

But yes I think my husband would have a problem with it...he would probably tell the boy that nail polish is for girls and be done with it.
There is nothing wrong with it. Children are curious and they like beautiful colours. Maybe he would even like to try a skirt or dress of his sister or cousin?

We are much too serious about gender roles and gender-related outfits. I think everybody has been born with male and female traits in his/her character.

Exploring his inner feminity for a boy does not mean he will become gay or transsexual (which are two different things!).

I think sometimes our society is producing transgenders by denying desires to explore gender roles more freely.
I would freakif I came home to find that. Unless it was HIS choice. Boys go thru phases like that. My nephew loved dolls when he was 2 up until 5. He is perfectly hetero.

A friend of mine has a son who was extremely macho as a child. He came out of the closet at 16.

Tell your brother not to worry. You can't be ';conditioned'; to be one way or another.
I would not put nail polish on my sons (pink, or any other color). I know kids like to experiment, etc. etc., but nail polish is predominantly worn by women. I have no problem with telling a boy child that certain things are for girls - dresses, makeup, nail polish. I wouldn't want them made fun of in public.
Kids at that age don't understand gender let alone the decorations people wear that are associated with their gender. The boy saw someone wearing pink nail polish and simply thought it was pretty. Nothing to get excited about, it will pass. Your brother has more issues to deal with than the boy.
My dear take it easy he is just a 4 year old kid and i dont think we should be thinking in terms of gender atleast not before they turn 12.

My mother used to dress me in a frock and i was hailed as one of the most prettiest daughter in town when i was 2 yrs old but they found out to the contrary later much to their chagrin that i was a boy!!!!

I turned out fine in my mothers view as a man later !!!
    The playground jury will correct any behavior that is just a ';phase';

Of course, he might come home crying, but if you won't stop him from putting on the nail polish, you are exposing him to the wrath of his peers.
sure, why not. he's four years old, not going to care that pink is traditionally seen as a 'girl's colour'. it's probably a phase he'll grow out of anyway

i guess my only reservation would be if other kids started to pick on him :-(
I would let them. They are PLAYING. They are 4 years old. Why do we have to turn every thing into some warped perception. The kid is playing and using his imagination. Worry if they are wearing pink in jr. high.
He's still young so I wouldn't worry about it too much; but I'd start teaching him some masculine values so that the feminized values won't take over him later on.

    Boys need to be boys
Most children who do act like the opposite gender as a child do end up being homosexual, but that doesn't mean most homosexuals acted feminine as a child.
I wouldn't. I don't think little children, regardless of gender, should be wearing finger nail polish.
Sounds like your brother is using his homophobia to perpetuate traditional gender roles.
i'd let him... soon enough he'll have to deal with peer pressure in school.

    Girly pink nail polish...?

today at work, i was wearing fluro pink nail polish and received around 5 comments on it from guys from work and also male customers. this has happened every time i have worn this particular shade to work. however, when i wear other colours i don't receive comments. why is pink so attractive for men? i am intrigued by this concept. please give me feedback! :)Girly pink nail polish...?
This pink really stands out, and gets attention. It isn't that guys don't enjoy seeing other nail colors, its that they aren't as noticeable. Although red nail polish will always be a favorite, its been worn by decades of women, and become somewhat less interesting over time. The fluorescent hot pink polish is sexy and relatively new, something guys haven't seen a lot of, and we like to let a girl know when she looks nice. When its a guys attention you want, you know what nail polish to wear.

  • Hot Pink nail polish?

i'm sad because my friend looked my nails at work and told me hot pink nail polish only looks good in the summer and spring...is that true?

it's not like i have LONG nails so i don't think it looks tacky.

what's your opinion? :(Hot Pink nail polish?
ok so your friend might think that fall and winter means dark colors like copper, or deep reds, maroons. but i do magenta pinks all year long. there is no rules to nail colors. people wear french all year long. so don't worry. now...if you want, choose a pink that is a little deeper, like more wine in color. but no, it's not tacky. what is tacky is chipped nail polish. so keep them looking neat. a new color by opi that is in the deep magenta tone is ';call my ma-agent-a';. love it.Hot Pink nail polish?
Well for me I prefer to wear my nails french in the winter, when they are long, meaning when I have acrilic put on, but I think it is okay to wear hot pink nailpolosh in the winter, its just more seasonal to wear colors like light blue, I guess. But hey my nail are hot pink, cause I paint them to match either my mood, or my particular outfit usually.
i dont think that matters at all. ibelieve that bright colors in winter are great. who the hell wants dreary colors during dreary months
if it makes you feel good then wear it :) your life-your choice...your friend sounds like a real downer, tell her to live a little :)
I think if you like it then wear it, who cares what other people advice is about what color you wear on your finger nails.
I don't think its true! But then again, I normal just wear black polish, black does go with everything!

But any color can be worn at anytime durning the year, I don't follow phads or anything like that.

I do what I want to do, no matter what time of the year it is!

They're your nails. Paint them whatever color you want!

    Good hot pink nail polishes???

can anyone recommend..or tell me where i can find a really bright hot pink nail polish...like the brightest there is lol. i tried this one last time when i got my nails done i think it was called something like ';nina's punky pink'; or somthing i really liked it tho..so if anyone knows a good one or knows the one im talking about that would be great THANX!! :]Good hot pink nail polishes???

the denim, white tank, and black sweater is classic, and so is a nice red polish. classy.
longer nails look good red but shorter nails look better pink,i think you should go by the length of your nails cause both colors would look good.

I hate the colour pink but I think you should use that more.

Black is getting old, so many people wear it black, its lame.

    And if you wear it black people get the impression your trying '; to fit in';

Wear pink not many people do, so...unique
Alternate, and also alternate your finger tipss

(so some of your nails will be pink with black tips, and some will be black with pink tips)

But if you want to use one colour, then use pink :)
